2023

In 2023, the government introduced new initiatives to develop transversal skills such as critical thinking, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. The new entrepreneurship module was developed in alignment with the European Entrepreneurship Competence Framework, and is a mandatory component in all VET programs. Additionally,  since 2022, extracurricular activities have been expanded to support the development of transversal skills by announcing a call.

2022

The reforms in 2022 included the integration of digital skills into both general and vocational education. New programs were launched in general education to teach cybersecurity, digital citizenship, and AI literacy to prepare students for the modern labor market. Digital skills are integrated into both curricular and extracurricular programs. Also, computer literacy is a mandatory module in all vocational educational programs

2021

In 2022, the introduction of key competencies for Lifelong Learning (LLL) in vocational programs emphasized the importance of numeracy, ICT, and entrepreneurship via extracurricular and non-formal activities at vocational institutions. These aimed to increase employability and foster active citizenship among young people and adult learners.
