1. European, Global and Intercultural Dimension in Curriculum

The national curriculum for basic and secondary education integrates European and global perspectives through subjects such as civic education, history, geography, and foreign languages. Intercultural learning, digital citizenship, and global competencies are embedded in cross-curricular themes. International projects, including those supported by the British Council or UNICEF, promote multilingualism, cultural awareness, and inclusive education.

2. Partnerships and Networks

Georgian schools participate in international cooperation networks, including eTwinning, UNESCO-associated schools, and bilateral partnerships with European institutions. These networks support joint learning activities, thematic international projects, teacher collaboration, and cross-border school development initiatives. Partnerships are typically financed through Erasmus+ or donor-funded programmes.

In Georgia, eTwinning has become an active platform for international school collaboration. Georgian teachers and schools participate in joint projects with European partners, contributing to the development of digital, pedagogical and intercultural competences. Participation in eTwinning supports professional development and the integration of project-based learning approaches.
