Teaching and learning in Georgia’s post-secondary non-tertiary vocational education system focus on practical, competency-based instruction, aligned with labor market needs. Programs emphasize work-based learning, flexibility, and inclusivity, particularly for students with special educational needs (SEN), who benefit from reserved places, individualized support, and additional funding.
Since 2019, short-term training and retraining programs (NQF levels 2–5) have been integrated into the formal system, expanding lifelong learning opportunities. These programs are implemented by a range of authorized providers under the supervision of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE).
