Curriculum, Subjects, Number of Hours

Vocational upper secondary education in Georgia is guided by the National Qualifications Framework and relevant vocational education standards. Programs are typically implemented by vocational colleges or, in some cases, general education institutions through integrated pathways. These programs combine general education subjects—such as Georgian language, mathematics, and a foreign language—with professional and practical training tailored to specific occupations. The number of instructional hours and the curriculum structure are defined by the corresponding vocational program and approved by MOESY.

Teaching Methods and Materials

Teaching in vocational education emphasizes practical skills, work-based learning, and competency-based approaches. Instructors are encouraged to use interactive and task-oriented methods that align with labor market needs. Teaching materials, including textbooks and digital resources, must comply with the standards set by the Ministry but can be adapted to the specifics of each program.
