Mobility in adult education and training in Georgia mainly concerns vocational education institutions, which implement both vocational education programmes as well as vocational training and retraining programmes.

1. Learner Mobility

Mobility is primarily supported through Erasmus+, particularly in the field of vocational education and training. Georgian institutions participate as partner organisations in mobility projects, enabling learners to take part in short-term study visits, work-based learning placements and skills development activities abroad.

In addition to Erasmus+, mobility is also supported through various international initiatives and donor-funded programmes. Mobility activities focus on the development of vocational competences, digital skills, language proficiency and employability.

Recognition of learning outcomes acquired abroad is carried out through competency-based assessment aligned with the National Qualifications Framework. The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement supports aligning qualifications and quality assurance mechanisms with European frameworks.

The regulatory framework for the development of Joint and Exchange programs at the VET level is approved. 

2. Teacher and Trainer Mobility

VET Teachers, trainers and administrative staff of vocational education institutions participate in international mobility through Erasmus+, Twinning initiatives and bilateral cooperation projects supported by development partners.

Mobility activities include professional training, industry placements and exchange of practices with partner institutions. The knowledge and experience gained are disseminated within institutions and across the system through professional networks, training activities and institutional cooperation.
