2026

The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in collaboration with the Czech Labour Office, ran the “Jsem v kurzu” programme until 2025, under which participants were offered subsidised courses to develop digital skills and IT competences, with the opportunity to receive a grant of up to 50,000 CZK per course over a three-year period, to help them improve their prospects in the labour market. The project was funded by the National Recovery Plan (RRF) with EU support and ran from 2023 to 2025, with the aim of increasing the availability of digital education for the general public.

From 2026, the “Jsem v kurzu” portal will continue as an online platform run by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Labour Office for retraining and selected training courses. The original support for digital education, funded under the National Recovery Plan, has come to an end, but it is being succeeded by a new project, “DIGIkurzy”, funded under the Employment Plus Operational Programme. The call for applications is due to open in the second half of 2026; for digital courses, a grant of up to 35,000 CZK is envisaged, with participants contributing 23.27%. 

2025

In 2025, there were active calls for proposals under the Employment Plus Operational Programme (OPZ+) focusing on the development of adult education and labour market skills. For example, the “Development of Continuing Vocational Education” initiative supports the modernisation of labour market services and the strengthening of alignment between the demand for skills and the supply of training, which also includes activities related to the professional development of adults. Furthermore, there are continuing or currently active calls for proposals and measures that support the development of employees’ skills, the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups and the enhancement of employability, which may include educational activities for adults.

2024

Calls within OP Employment Plus (2024)

In 2024, new calls within the Operation Programme Employment Plus were announced:

• development and strengthening of cooperation between employers and employees with an emphasis on the area of labour relations and human resources development, e.g. training for employees and employers aimed at supplementing, extending and upgrading knowledge in areas with a direct impact on social dialogue, support for cooperation between enterprises and educational institutions in order to align the qualification level and qualification structure of the workforce with the requirements of the labour market, etc.; allocation CZK 100 M / EUR 4 M (Support and strengthening of social partner dialogue (2) – Podpora a posílení dialogu sociálních partnerů (2));
• support for community work and social work in municipalities, for non-governmental non-profit organisations, etc., with a focus on socially excluded persons or persons at risk of exclusion, support for solving debt problems, crime prevention, etc.; allocation CZK 500 M / EUR 20 M (Support for social inclusion in excluded localities (2) – Podpora sociálního začleňování ve vyloučených lokalitách (2)).
