Compulsory education in Turkey is given as 12 years for students in primary and secondary education. In this system, which is carried out in the form of 4+4+4, students receive education for 4 years in primary school, secondary school / İmam Hatip secondary schools and high school, respectively, excluding preparatory classes. In addition, primary, secondary and high school levels are compulsory for individuals with special education needs, as well as pre-school education level.
