There is no planned in-service training law or actual practice for academics in Türkiye. On the other hand, international databases and digital libraries subscribed by universities with the support of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) provide Turkish scholars with timely and rapid access to basic academic products such as articles, presentations, theses, dissertations, and books on national and international studies. In recent years, Cahit Arf Information Centre Initiative and Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye TÜBİTAK) and the identification and accessibility of international journals under the umbrella of ULAKBİM provide a natural learning environment and professional development for researchers.
