Incentives for participation in continuing professional development (CPD) activities

A six-month scientific leave (congé scientifique) may be granted to teachers who have been working for the university on a full-time basis for at least seven years. During this leave, the teachers either continue to draw their basic salary or they receive fifty per cent of their basic annual income. The leave is granted by the board of governors (conseil de gouvernance) on proposal of the rectorate and on the basis of the research project proposed by the applying staff member.
