Other staff working in higher education involve:

• Technical and administrative staff engaged by the University of Luxembourg: some staff categories are defined by the law, whereas other categories may be added by the University according to its needs. Staff hold private working contracts. The University decides on issues such as admission criteria, salaries and working conditions
• Staff working in academic guidance at the Centre for documentation and information on higher Education (CEDIES; Centre de documentation et d'information sur l'enseignement supérieur): the CEDIES is a service of the ministry of Higher Education and Research and provides information and counselling on higher education in Luxembourg and abroad. Its staff members are civil servants.
