This chapter describes management and other education staff's requirements for appointment and conditions of service at the different levels of education in Luxembourg.

Elementary schools (providing early, preschool and primary education) operate under the responsibility of their respective regional directorate (direction de région). Each school has its own school committee with its president, working in cooperation with the communal authorities.

Secondary schools (lycées) are managed by their respective principal (directeur).

The University of Luxembourg is chaired by a board of governors . Its management is ensured by an executive body, the rectorate , which is presided by a rector.

The management of adult education providers varies depending on the kind of organisation active in that field.
