New advanced vocational training courses (BTS)

• For the start of the 2024/25 academic year, two new practically oriented higher education courses have been added to the current offer:
• The BTS “Applied Artificial Intelligence” offered by the Lycée des Arts et Métiers de Luxembourg is a practical course focusing on the configuration, integration, automation, and maintenance of AI systems. It also provides a solid base in programming and data processing through the application of training and learning methods for artificial intelligence models
• The BTS “Automated Industrial Production” is offered by the Lycée privé Emile-Metz and trains students to work in the fields of installation, commissioning and maintenance of complex automated installations. Graduates will have skills in automation (electrical engineering, control, sensor adjustment and robotics), mechanical engineering (CAD, technology, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.) and numerical sciences (mathematics and computing).
   

New Master’s degrees in Education Sciences

The University of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth is launching three new Master’s degrees for the start of the 2024/25 academic year:

• The Master of Science in Education 'Management and Development of Schools' teaches accomplished generalist teachers with the principles and practices of management and development of actors, entities, projects and quality in educational organisations
• The Master of Science in Education 'Teaching Development' equips accomplished generalist teachers with the principles and practices of innovation in the classroom, including differentiated pedagogy, inquiry-based learning and digital education
• The Master of Science in Education 'Inclusive Education and Educational Accessibility' teaches accomplished generalist teachers with the principles and practices of classroom intervention in a variety of special educational needs scenarios.
   

Expansion and modernisation of the range of programmes offered by the University of Luxembourg

For the start of the 2024/25 academic year, the University of Luxembourg is expanding and refining its academic offering with the arrival of six new programmes and the modernisation of three existing programmes:
The new programmes

• The Bachelor's degree in Nursing Sciences- Nurse responsible for general care prepares students for general nursing practice with a variety of patient populations (inpatient care, care of the elderly, etc.) in a variety of clinical settings (hospitals, community services, etc.)
• The Master in Cybersecurity and Cyber Defence prepares students to identify, understand and resolve cybersecurity incidents, while developing technologies to improve resilience in the face of cyber threats
• The Master in Digital and Public History - a unique course in Europe that combines international perspectives in digital and public history, equipping students with the methods, skills and practical experience to unpack history and share it in engaging ways.
