Adult education and training in North Macedonia is provided by a range of public and private institutions.

The main providers include adult education centres, vocational schools and Regional Centres for Vocational Education and Training. These institutions deliver formal and non-formal programmes and are required to be licensed in accordance with national legislation.

Regional Centres for Vocational Education and Training play an increasingly important role as key providers of adult learning. They offer training programmes, support cooperation with employers and contribute to aligning provision with labour market needs.

The Centre for Adult Education has a central coordinating role. It supports the development and validation of programmes, contributes to quality assurance and provides guidance to providers.

Higher education institutions and other organisations may also be involved in the provision of adult education and training, particularly in the context of lifelong learning and professional development.

Employers and social partners contribute to the provision of adult learning by identifying skills needs, supporting training activities and cooperating with education providers.
