7.4Programmes outside the bachelor and master structure

Integrated higher education studies (cycles I and II) refer to the higher education ISCED level 7, and are organised in the fields of medicine and pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and architecture.

The diploma issued upon completion of integrated higher studies (cycles I and II) is equivalent to the Master's diploma.

All persons holding a Baccalaureate diploma, a professional studies diploma or a recognized equivalent document can participate in the admission competition for integrated programmes.

Integrated higher education studies (cycles I and II) are organised only in full-time mode.

In the case of integrated studies (cycles I and II), their cumulative duration will correspond to at least 300 ECTS credits. For the higher education integrated studies in the field of health – 4-6 years for programmes of 240-360 ECTS credits.

The development, structure and implementation of the integrated studies (cycles I and II) education programmes are regulated by the Ministry of Education and Research through two guidelines: 

  • Framework Plan for bachelor's (cycle I), master's (cycle II) and integrated higher studies (cycles I and II);

  • Regulation for the organisation of bachelor and integrated studies.

Double specialties - parallel studies in two different Bachelor’s (cycle I) programmes refer to the higher education ISCED levels 6:

It is possible to specialise in two different Bachelor’s programmes only in the field of educational sciences and military studies.

The duration of parallel studies in two different Bachelor’s programmes is longer by one year in comparison to the typical Bachelor’s programme.

Higher studies in double study programmes are completed with the award of a single qualification and the issuance of a single university diploma in two specialties.
