Programmes outside Bachelor and Master Structure

Short cycle programs include "Professional Certificate" (one-year courses) and "Professional Diploma" (two-year courses) with 60 and 120 ECTS credits, corresponding to Level 5 of the Albanian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Admission to these programs, offered by both public and private HEIs, requires a completed secondary education qualification ("Matura Shtetërore" or equivalent professional diploma). A Professional Certificate or Diploma entitles the holder to enter the labor market and/or pursue further first cycle higher education studies. Admission to first cycle studies is not automatic; candidates must meet the national minimum entry grade, as determined by a specific Council of Ministers decision and in compliance with HEI-specific requirements.
