Pupil/student assessment
Students in public Vocational Education at the end of levels 2, 3 and 5 of the Albanian Framework of Qualifications (KSHK), for all directions/profiles of professional education, are subject to these final level exams:
- Final exam of integrated professional theory (PPT)
- The final exam of the integrated professional practice (PPT)
At the end of the 4th level of the KSHK, the students are subject only to the final exam of the integrated professional practice (PPT)
In the public Vocational Training, at the end of each unified course, the trainees undergo the final theoretical-practical exam (PPTP)
The PPT is carried out through a test that lasts 1.5 hours PPP is realized through the demonstration of a practical task by each student, the realization of which takes no more than three 3 hours PPPT consists of two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part is carried out in the form of oral questions and answers, which lasts no more than 30 minutes and is done immediately after the practical part. The practical part is realized as a demonstration that lasts no more than 2 hours
Progression of pupil/student
The Vocational Education and Training (VET) system allows horizontal and vertical transfer of VET beneficiaries.
The horizontal transfer of the beneficiaries of education and vocational training consists in the transfer of the beneficiary from one direction/school to another direction/school.
The vertical transfer of the beneficiaries of vocational education and training consists in the transfer of the beneficiary from secondary vocational education to post-secondary education.
The conditions and procedures for horizontal and vertical transfer within the VET system are determined by the instruction of the minister responsible for VET.
The conditions and procedures for the transfer from general education to vocational education and vice versa are determined by a joint instruction of the minister responsible for VET and the minister
responsible for education issues.

Certification
The professional qualification certificate is issued to an individual who has met the standards
relevant qualification, after a formal assessment process.
Certification documents are issued by the Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider.
Each official final certificate in VET is accompanied by a certificate supplement, following the guidelines adopted in the EU and describing the knowledge, skills and competences of
obtained from the certificate holder.
The types, procedures and methods for issuing certificates, as well as the formats to be used, are regulated by the instruction of the minister responsible for the VET.
