Education staff in officially recognised adult education programmes

They are teachers, adult education organisers and other staff. They have to meet the following requirements:

  • They have to have a perfect command of the standard Slovenian language,
  • 2nd cycle degree educational qualification or equivalent,
  • pedagogical-andragogical educational qualification or educational qualification attained in the relevant upskilling study programme,
  • certificate of professional examination in education and training.

The educational qualification for education staff is defined by the competent minister.

Educattion staff in adult education activities

The activities include counselling, research activities and other activities, such as knowledge exchange, coordination and implementation of national large-scale actions in adult education, development and promotion of adult education, international activity, publication, promotion, information, and other.

Educators in the publicly funded activities are counsellors in adult education, adult education organisers, education and other staff. They have to meet the same requirements as they apply for educators in officially recognised adult education programmes, namely:

  • They have to have a perfect command of the standard Slovenian language,
  • 2nd cycle degree educational qualification or equivalent,
  • pedagogical-andragogical educational qualification or educational qualification attained in the relevant upskilling study programme,
  • certificate of professional examination in education and training.

The educational qualification for education staff is defined by the competent minister.
