Fee differentiation is applied based on the field of study and the type of programme.

FEES
- Students may have their tuition fees covered by the state (students on state-subsidised places do not pay tuition fee) but pay administrative costs.
- The maximum amount of fee is the amount that students in a status of self-financed students pay in certain faculties yearly for 60 ESTC. Data on most common fees and fees in case of extended length of studies and foreign language programmes is not available.
- Students enrolled in foreign language programme usually pay higher tuition fees.
- International students as non-Serbian students usually pay higher tuition fees than home students. The only exception are students nominated for the programme “World in Serbia” which is a scholarship programme of the Republic of Serbia for the citizens of the Non-Aligned Movement member and observer states. Students who take part in this programme have a scholarship which includes: free preparatory classes of Serbian language, free education within bachelor or master level (with no fees), scholarship-18 000 RSD per month, free accomodation and food in student standard institutions, free health insurance, free residence visa and free recognition of secondary school diplomas.
- Students who achieve 48 ECTS credits in the current academic year, have the right to be financed from the state budget in the next academic year.
- Students with disabilities and students enrolled according to the affirmative actions who achieve 36 ECTS credits in the current academic year, have the right to be financed from the state budget in the next academic year.
- All students enrolled in short-cycle programmes pay all fees.

DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT - GRANTS

Merit based grants are available for full-time home students.

There is no national grants system for international students in Serbia, but there is the programme “World in Serbia” which is a scholarship programme of the Republic of Serbia for the citizens of the Non-Aligned Movement member and observer states. Candidates must be nominated for a scholarship by the government of their respective country.

There are no age limits for access to public grants.

Publicly-subsidised loans are available to full-time home students in first cycle.

Only students in stat-subsidised places in public HEIs are entitled to apply for loans.

Loans cover 10 equal monthly installments.

There is no age limit for access to loans.
