OVERVIEW

In Liechtenstein fees are paid by all students.
There are no short-cycle higher education programmes.
There is no official part-time student status.
Fee differentiation based on field of study or type of programme is not applied.
Waivers and reductions to fees are not available.
Direct financial support is offered in the form of grants and loans which can be combined.
Indirect financial support is provided in the form of tax relief to students' parents and students with income and family allowances. The age limit for tax benefits is 25 years and for family allowances, 20 years.

DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT - GRANTS

Needs based grants are offered to full-time home students.
Grant payment frequency differs.
One of the conditions for grant/loan is to be resident in Liechtenstein for at least consequent 3 years or 5 years with interruptions.
Students are able to access grants up until the age limit of 32 years.
Data on share of grant holders is not available for 2023/2024.
