DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT - GRANTS
- Need-based and universal grants are available to home full and part-time students.
- International students are not eligible for state financial aid. Public grants for international students at the University of Luxembourg are offered directly through the University.
- The maximum amount of universal grants includes a base grant of EUR 2 398/ year, a "family grant", which consists of EUR 574/year and is granted to students whose family includes one or more eligible student(s). For studies abroad, a student can request EUR 2 982 mobility grant per year. The reimbursement of tuition fees up to maximum amount of EUR 1 900/year can also be requested. Students can request modifications of their grants until the end of the year. The reported values are therefore indicative estimations.
- For first and second cycles, only the University of Luxembourg (sole public university in Luxembourg) is considered. Students living abroad, but commuting daily to Luxembourg, are also included, as most of them are eligible for grants (for instance, if their parents work in Luxembourg). For the short cycle, every institution awarding ISCED 5 degrees are considered.
- There is no age limit for access to grants.
