OVERVIEW

  • In Croatia all students pay fees. 

  • Short-cycle programmes are not available, except one implemented as part-time study programme for home students at a public higher educaiton instittuion.

  • There are integrated undergraduate and graduate study programmes lasting 5 or 6 years. 

  • There is fee differentiation depending on the field of study (specific discipline) and programme (taught in foreign language, studying for a second degree etc.). Students studying in integrated programmes also pay higher fees if it is specific discipline or foreign language program.

  • Waivers and reductions to fees are applicable based on social and academic performance criteria.

  • Direct financial support is provided by need-based and merit-based grants. Loans are not available. There is no age limit for award of direct financial support.

  • Indirect financial support to students’ families and students with income is provided in the form of tax benefits. Family allowances for students' parent are available. There is no age limit for access to indirect financial support.
