OVERVIEW

  • In Italy fees are paid by all students.

  • Part-time programmes in short cycle do not exist.

  • Fee differentiation policies are applied based on the filed of study and programme. Other criteria decided independently by the Universities, can influence the amount of fees.

  • Waivers and reductions are available and based on socio-economic and academic performance criteria. 

  • Direct financial support is provided through grants and loans which cannot be combined.

  • Indirect financial support is available to students and their parents in the form of tax incentives  and family allowances. The age limit for access to family allowances is 21 years.
