OVERVIEW

In Italy fees are paid by all students.

Part-time programmes in short cycle do not exist.

Fee differentiation policies are applied based on the filed of study and programme. Other criteria decided independently by the Universities, can influence the amount of fees.

Waivers and reductions are available and based on socio-economic and academic performance criteria.

Direct financial support is provided through grants and loans which cannot be combined.

Indirect financial support is available to students and their parents in the form of tax incentives and family allowances. The age limit for access to family allowances is 21 years.
