Gjør det! is a mobility programme aimed to strengthen vocational education and training, strengthen Norway’s cooperation with Germany and lower the threshold to start international projects. The target groups are learners and apprentices. The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills is responsible for organisation and coordination.
Nordplus
Nordplus is the Nordic Council of Ministers' programme in the area of lifelong learning. Target groups include pupils in preschool, lower secondary school and upper secondary school as well as higher education institutions, institutions involved in lifelong learning and other organisations interested in international cooperation in education.
Within Nordplus Junior, schools can apply for money to initiate cooperation projects, teacher exchanges and work experience exchanges for pupils. Universitets- och högskolerådet in Sweden has the main responsibility for Nordplus Junior.
Nordplus Nordic Languages aims to strengthen language comprehension in the Nordic countries and stimulate interest in Nordic languages, cultures and living conditions. Rannsóknamiðstöð Íslands on Iceland has the responsibility for Nordplus Nordic Languages.
Nordplus Horizontal is a cross-sectoral programme involving activities such as workshops, conferences, studies and innovative courses. Nordplus allows participants to travel to countries within the Nordic and Baltic region. The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills has the responsibility for Nordplus Horizontal.
Upper secondary education in France – general programme
Norwegian pupils may take parts of or the entire upper secondary education (general programme) in France. The education is recognised in Norway. Pupils in the 10th grade or first year of upper secondary education in Norway can apply. The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills coordinates the programme.
Troll 2
Troll 2 aims to increase Norwegian pupil’s knowledge of French language and culture. Classes from both lower and upper secondary schools can apply for a study visit in France. The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills is responsible for organisation and coordination.
UWC – United World Colleges
Pupils attending the first year at upper secondary school may apply for an International Baccalaureate (IB) for two years at schools in other countries through United World Colleges. The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills is responsible for the application process and pupil nomination.
Validation and recognition
The Norwegian education provider is responsible for the validation and recognition of qualifications, exams and courses obtained and completed abroad. Validation and recognition is part of the regular assessment of pupils' learning, based on goals and criteria in curricula. Some upper secondary education providers use internationally recognised validation tools, such as Europass and ECVET, as a complement.

Troll 1
Troll 1 aims to give Norwegian French teachers the opportunity to a professional and cultural update in France, through courses or participation in individual programs. The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills is responsible for organisation and coordination.
