In the Republic of Srpska, laws on amendments and additions to the laws in the field of preschool, primary and secondary education and upbringing have been adopted, which relate to the reduction of the deadline for performing an internship from one year to six months for persons with a higher professional education, as well as the reduction of the fee that candidates pay when taking a professional and remedial exam, which is one of the conditions for establishing an employment relationship. The aim of the aforementioned changes is to provide candidates with easier access to the labor market, reduce financial expenses when taking the professional exam and improve the conditions for employment.

The Government of the Posavina Canton passed the Decision on Amendments to the Pedagogical Standards for Secondary Education290, which entered into force on 5/21/2026. Amendments to the Pedagogical Standards for secondary education were adopted with the aim of ensuring equal appropriate pedagogical and material conditions in all secondary schools in the Posavina Canton, the emphasis is on improving the quality of the educational process and creating more favorable conditions for teaching, better work with students and more efficient organization of the teaching process.

The APOSO committee adopted Recommendations for the improvement of educational policies based on the results of international research on educational achievements.
The document brings together recommendations directed to the Agency for Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education and educational authorities in BiH with the aim of strengthening the use of international research results in the creation of evidence-based educational policies and improving the quality of education.

2024

Based on the common core of curricula, defined in the outcomes of learning (ZPNPP) prepared by the Agency, the Ministry of Education of the Four Counties developed new subject curricula, whose implementation, was initiated in primary and secondary schools. In this way, the four counties in which classes are performed in the Croatian language, together with the municipalities of Usor and Žepče, joined colleagues from Zenica Doboj Canton and Sarajevo Canton in creating a prerequisite for improving student achievements.
