Academic Guidance

At some HEI's upon enrolment mentors are assigned to new students from the ranks of academic staff (usually professor assistants) for academic counsel. Senior students may also provide academic guidance for freshmen students.

Psychological Counselling

Psychological counselling services are available at some HEI's whether at university level (Zadar, Pula) or at the individual faculties- usually within departments of psychology at faculties for social sciences and humanities. These can be focused on individual counselling or specialised courses on learning to learn. Also student clinics offer psychological counselling,

Career Guidance

Student career guidance offices are established at 4 universities (Osijek, Rijeka, Zadar, Dubrovnik) and several private HEI's. These offices provide individual professional orientation counselling for students and conduct workshops on CV and application writing and interviews. They might also liaison with employers and Alumni associations. Student associations and some HEI's organise career days events thus connecting students with potential employers in their field.
