Teachers’ remuneration is regulated by top-level authorities.
The minimum qualification required to enter the profession at all education levels is ISCED 6. In addition, teachers are requested to pass a state exam.
The salary progression is based on number of service years and is reflected by yearly increase (2%) paid for a period not longer than 25 years.
Teachers do not have a specific status. The profession is regulated by the Professional Order of Teachers.
