Accredited private education institutions are part of the national education system and operate in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in force.

Private education institutions at levels can be established, reorganised, and liquidated according to the procedures outlined by civil legislation and the Education Code.

State educational standards are mandatory for all public and private education institutions. Private general education institutions of all levels, as well as legal entities providing educational services or study programmes in general education, are subject to the external evaluation process, with a view to provisional operating authorisation, until they start to operate.

The National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation evaluates private general education institutions of all levels, as well as legal entities providing educational services or study programmes in general education, with a view to accreditation/provisional authorisation to operate.

Financing of private educational institutions is carried out from the sources of the founders and from tuition fees. The state can support accredited private general education institutions in the manner established by the Government.

According to the state education standards approved by the Ministry of Education and Research, private education institutions have their own endowments for carrying out the educational process.

Private education institutions are holders of the property right or other real rights, which they exercise over the patrimony, under the conditions of the legislation.
