The Act of 22 December 2015 on the Integrated Qualifications System (Ustawa o Zintegrowanym Systemie Kwalifikacji), with its core part that came into force on 15 January 2016, assigns the levels of the Polish Qualifications Framework (PQF) to individual qualifications awarded, for example, within school education (Art. 8 of the Act). This enables the awarding institutions to indicate the relevant levels of the PQF on school certificates and diplomas, and on other documents conferring qualifications, which facilitates transborder comparison of qualifications.
