Teaching staff in education and training offered by Education Administrations

Article 99 of Law 2/2006 on Education (LOE), amended by Law 3/2020 (LOMLOE), establishes that the teaching staff belonging to public educational institutions providing Adult Education comprise civil servants of the different non-university teaching bodies, in line with the educational levels and programmes offered. They belong to the following bodies:

  • school teachers;
  • secondary education teachers;
  • teachers of official language schools.

The conditions of service for the teaching staff working in adult education institutions are the same as those generally established for teachers who provide a similar type of education at other educational levels.

Teaching staff in education and training offered by Employment Administrations

The training action to be provided determines the trainers to be hired and the characteristics of their contracts.

The State Public Employment Service (SEPE) or public employment entity of the corresponding autonomous community and the organisation promoting the training action make up a mixed group which publishes the selection process through a provision carried out by the Employment Office, or through a public call, or both. People previously included in Employment Administrations’ expert files can also be taken into account.

Recruitment is done after passing the selection process implemented by the above-mentioned mixed group.
