In a world where personal mobility has become far more important, knowledge of foreign languages seems even more of a priority than ever. That priority, which is essential for the European project and individual self-development alike, is upheld in the Community Policy Declaration 2014-2019. It offers students and pupils the opportunity to learn a second language in a meaningful way, in the context of their schooling, in real-life situations, so that they can become global citizens and find their place in society and the world of work more easily.
The government also intends to promote access to international mobility for students in higher education, to maintain its academic partnerships with the countries that concluded a cooperation agreement with the French Community, aiming in particular at supporting teachers’ mobility, and encouraging the mobility of researchers.
