Conditions of Service for Teachers and Trainers Working in Adult Education and Training

Denmark

9.Teachers and Education Staff

9.8Conditions of Service for Teachers and Trainers Working in Adult Education and Training

Last update: 27 November 2023

In general, the conditions of service for teachers and trainers working in adult education and training correspond with the ordinary education system.

Due to this, the same regulation in most cases applies to teachers and trainers working in adult education and training as for teachers and trainers working in the ordinary education system. The regulation covers salaries, allowances, pension and working hours:

Primary and lower secondary education

At primary and lower secondary level, the conditions of service are partly comparable to that of the ordinary education system. However, at this particular education level, a separate circular letter regulates salaries, allowances, pension and working hours for teachers and trainers working in adult education and training.

General upper secondary education

The same conditions of service apply for teachers working in general upper secondary education for adults as for teachers working at this level within the ordinary education system. Please visit chapter 9.2. Conditions of Service for Teachers Working in Early Childhood and School Education.

Higher education

At higher education level, the same conditions of service apply for teachers and trainers working in adult education as for teachers and trainers working in the ordinary education system. Please visit chapter 9.5. Conditions of Service for Academic Staff Working in Higher Education.
