Within the scope of the National Qualifications System (Sistema Nacional de Qualificações - SNQ) the body responsible for coordinating public policy on adult education and training - currently the Institute for Education, Quality and Evaluation (Instituto da Educação, Qualidade e Avaliação - EduQA, I.P.) -,  has been developing and promoting a range of measures designed to ensure the quality of the system. In this context, the body responsible for managing the Qualifica Centres network regularly organises different training events, in order to ensure not only its own smooth running but also a high level of rigour and quality in the operationalisation of the different intervention stages.

At the same time, there are four regional teams to monitor and supervise the activity of these centres. In addition to technical visits, these teams monitor the centres via telephone and e-mail on a daily basis.

Technical guidance, operational guides and recommendations are regularly made available to ensure the quality and consistency of initiatives in the field of adult education and training. These materials are intended for teams at Qualifica Centres and training providers responsible for Adult Education and Training courses (cursos EFA), Certified Modular Training (FMC) and other training programmes for adults within the National Qualifications Framework.
The purpose of the guidance documents is to harmonise procedures, promote quality practices and support technical and pedagogical teams in the effective implementation of the competence and qualification frameworks.
