Under the Education Act the organiser of education (e.g. municipalities, regions or grant-aided independent providers) is obliged to ensure that CPD is available for teaching staff. 

Municipal adult education is offered at primary and upper secondary school level and the continuing professional development is similar in organisation to that for teachers in school education.
