School heads’ remuneration is regulated by collective agreement for the fixed part and at regional level for the variable part.
The minimum qualification requirement for school heads is ISCED 7 at all education levels. In addition, 5 years of teaching experience and competitive examination are required.
The salary progression of school heads depends on complexity of the school and is decided at regional level.
School heads are public managers with a private contract defined by collective agreement.
