School heads’ remuneration is regulated by top level community authorities.
The minimum qualification requirement for school heads at primary level is ISCED 6 and at secondary level ISCED 5. In addition school heads are required to have certificate for teaching competence.
The salary progression of school heads is based on years in service. The increase is done 12 times during the career with one final increase is applied after 36 years.
School heads are civil servants.
