Structure of the chapter

This chapter provides a thematic and chronological overview of national reforms and policy developments in North Macedonia since 2024. The reforms are organized into the following areas:

  • Early childhood education and care
  • School education
  • Vocational education and training (VET) and adult learning
  • Higher education
  • Transversal skills and employability

     

Current Framework for International Cooperation 2025-2026

International cooperation in education in North Macedonia is also supported through bilateral agreements and participation in global initiatives.

Bilateral agreements are concluded with other countries to promote cooperation in education, including mobility of students and staff, exchange of information and development of joint activities.
