Other staff working at the Directorate for Lifelong Learning and Employability (DLE) include career advisors however, psychological counselling services are not available at the Directorate.

The management structures in place related to the provision of adult education at the University of Malta (UM), the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST), the Institute for Tourism Studies (ITS) and the Institute for Education (IFE) are the same as those that are in place for the provision of higher education by the different educational institutions.

Administrative staff are employed at UM with the aim to ensure the smooth and effective running of the institution. The administrative structure of the University comprises Deputy Registrars, Senior Executives and Managers at the top level and involves the following administrative staff:

In 2005 Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary state schools in Malta were grouped into ten Colleges according to locality such that the primary school students proceed to the secondary school within that particular College.

As part of their contract, all adult educators are committed to attend compulsory continuing professional development (CPD) sessions. Pre-service training is held in September, while mid-service training sessions are held throughout the year.
