Global and Intercultural Dimensions in Curriculum Development

The strategic framework for the development of the internationalisation of education includes strategic documents of the European Union (EU), the Bologna Process and measures from the Strategy of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Croatia.

Major instrument for the mobility in adult education and training is Erasmus+ Programme, EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. Previous sectoral programme relevant for the mobility of adult learners and experts working in the adult education institution was Grundtvig.

The main instrument for mobility in education is the Erasmus+ Programme, EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. Previous sectoral programmes relevant for the mobility of pupil and student mobility and teacher mobility were Comenius and Leonardo da Vinci. Both, predecessor programme Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) and Erasmus+ Programme are in Croatia managed by the National Agency – Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes.

Croatia strives for international cooperation at all levels of education from pre-school to higher education, including adult education. National priorities are in line with Education and Training 2020, Bologna Process and Copenhagen process.

The key institution in charge of career guidance and counselling is the Croatian Bureau for Employment. The Bureau, through its wide national network of offices, provides guidance and counselling for pupils and high schools students as well as unemployed persons. It also provides a wide range of services for employers (counselling, assessments, employee search etc.)

 

Academic Guidance

At some HEI's upon enrolment mentors are assigned to new students from the ranks of academic staff (usually professor assistants) for academic counsel. Senior students may also provide academic guidance for freshmen students.
