Ensuring and improving the quality of educational work is performed by self-evaluation each year in certain areas, and every two years as a whole. Quality assurance of educational institution work, at least every four years, is done by the Bureau for Educational Service.
Methodology for ensuring and improving of the quality of educational work in the institution (self-evaluation and evaluation) is prescribed by the Ministry, on the proposal of the Bureau. The improvement of the existing Methodology is ongoing. 

The Bureau determines and ensures the quality of educational work in institutions and carries out developmental, advisory, research and professional activities in the following areas: pre-school education, primary education, secondary general education, general education in vocational education, education of children with special needs and education in their homes.
