Country news

The project "Measures for the Improvement of Social and Educational Integration of Third Country Children in Cyprus" was recently implemented by the Cypriot Ministry of Education between January 2017 and June 2018.

Thanks to it, teachers working for the national educational system to integrate children with migrant background were empowered and several measures have been adopted within the project. First of all, a systematic research has been conducted to evaluate the current situation within the institutions. Secondly, educators received systematic trainings on how to manage socio-cultural diversity and enhance Greek language and multilingualism, as well as with the help of mediators.
