This chapter provides a thematic and chronological overview of national reforms and policy developments during the three-year period. 

The introduction of the chapter describes the overall education strategy and the key objectives across the whole education system. It also looks at how the education reform process is organised and who are the main actors in the decision-making process.

 

Bilateral Agreements

All the universities from Serbia have bilateral cooperation with universities from other countries all over the world. One of the results of this cooperation is the existence of exchange programs between the faculties which allow foreign students to come to Serbia as exchange students and vice versa.

Mobility in Serbian education system is also underpinned by the newly established Euroguidance centre in Serbia which is part of the Euroguidance network. Euroguidance is a European network of national resource and information centres for guidance. The main goals of the network are to promote a European dimension in professional guidance and provide information on lifelong professional guidance and mobility. Both goals are aimed at stimulating international mobility of individuals in education and training.

Student Mobility

А programme of the EU, Erasmus+, offers possibilities for HEIs to participate, among others, in the mobility parts of the Programme. The Republic of Serbia has fully participated in the Erasmus+ programme as a programme country since 2019. Consequently, HEIs have the opportunity to participate in exchange projects with programme and partner countries.
