European, global and intercultural dimension in curriculum development

The level of higher education internationalisation can be regarded externally and internally - the external component relates to mobility, partnership and promotion, whereas the internal component relates to adaptation of curricula, foreign language teaching, joint degree programmes, internationally recognised learning outcomes and internationalisation of campuses.

In Montenegro, by the end of 2013, a competent council adopted: 92 education programmes leading towards the acquisition of vocational qualifications and 71 education programmes leading towards the acquisition key skills. Education programmes that lead towards the acquisition of vocational qualifications are prepared upon the request of Employment Office and employers.

Student mobility

Student mobility has been recognized as one of the strategic objectives of Montenegrin higher education and research system. Students have numerous opportunities for short term and long term mobility.

In Montenegrin strategic documents for the field of education, internationalisation is considered to be a key condition for development, with mobility as its most representative segment.

Academic Guidance

The Centre for Vocational Education, as an institution responsible for the development of adult education, and the Employment Office, as a central institution for the labour market, play an important role in the process of informing and guiding citizens concerning access to lifelong learning.

Definition of the Target Group

The Law on Adult Education stipulates that adult education aims to include the most vulnerable population through various forms of education and learning in order to acquire their integration.

Academic Guidance

Academic guidance is provided through the Interactive Study Prospectus and the annual Open Day, which represents a central institutional event aimed at supporting prospective students in making informed study choices. During the Open Day, all faculties, as well as university centers and support offices, present their academic offer, study programmes, and available student services.
