Kids Wallet is a new parental control application which will operate within the framework of the National Strategy for the Protection of Minors from Internet Addiction.

Kids Wallet, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Governance, helps parents manage and supervise their children's presence on platforms, applications, and electronic services easily. The application offers key functions such as parental control, age verification, and digital identification.

Under the national strategy, teenagers under 15 can access social networks only with parental consent. The strategy does not implement a general ban on social networks for teenagers. Instead, it focuses on controlling access via the devices used by minors, such as mobile phones and tablets.

Aligned with the national strategy, this initiative aims to create a digital space for children and adolescents where their rights are protected and upheld. The measure is complemented by initiatives from the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports aiming to empowering and protecting students in the digital world.

The Kids Wallet app, rather than social media companies, filters and blocks access to social networks by using minors' personal data during app setup. Once the app is set, its security protocols automatically engage, verifying the user's age.
