Teachers in the evening schools are regular, qualified secondary school teachers who are assigned to teach in these particular schools. As such, they are university graduates with a Bachelor degree in their specialisation as a minimum qualification.

The teaching staff of the Mediterranean Institute of Management consists of experts who hold relevant university degrees in the subjects they teach. They are either full-time public servants or guest lecturers from reputable institutions/organisations from Cyprus and abroad.

The general courses at the Adult Education Centres are taught by primary and secondary level teachers or unemployed university graduates registered in the ‘waiting list’ of the Educational Service Commission for appointment in primary or secondary schools. More practical courses, such as Auto Mechanics, Sewing, Handicrafts and Dance, are taught by individuals with specialist knowledge in the relevant field.

The trainers of the State Institutes of Further Education (ΚΙΕ) are experienced secondary school teachers, either seconded to teach in the ΚΙΕ, or paid a special fee for carrying out this job. The headteachers of the ΚΙΕ are seconded from the secondary sector.

The assessment of the Trainers of Professional Training (Level 5) who teach in seminars approved by the Human Resource Development Authority, continues for the seventh year through the system of Professional Qualifications (Sistima Epaggelmatikon Prosonton).

The instructors who do not have any teaching experience are assigned to be evaluated according to Route 1 of the Template of Professional Qualifications in AxioPistoSyn program.

The candidates are required to follow a course called Train the Trainers around 80 hours in order to be able to register for evaluation.
